Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director, Anoop Prakash has reportedly moved on from his position which has now left the company’s Indian subsidiary without a leader.
Anoop Prakash has led the company’s entry into India and has served as the MD of Harley-Davidson India for six years. Sources confirm that Prakash has been assigned as the Managing Director for Harley Davidson Canada.
Harley-Davidson hasn’t yet confirmed Prakash’s successor and in his absence, Rajiv Vohra, Market Operations Manager, Harley-Davidson India has been appointed as the interim MD for the company.
In other news, Harley Davidson has also recalled 3,698 units of the Street 750 motorcycle in India. The recall was made for safety concerns when the company noticed poor quality seals on the fuel pump in-let of the XG750 model motorcycles. The company is currently working on notifying their respective dealers to notify their customers who need to bring in their vehicles to their closest service workshops for inspection.
