Leading two-wheeler manufacturer, India Yamaha Motor (IYM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Higher, Technical Education & Skill Development and Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society, Government of Jharkhand for providing two years on-the-job shop floor training to the youth at its factories in Surajpur, Uttar Pradesh and Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das, Ravi Ranjan, Mission Director of Jharkhand Skill Development Mission, Neera Yadav, Minister of Higher, Technical & Vocational Education and Skill Development and Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Department of Higher, Technical & Skill Development Mission of Jharkhand Government. Among the senior management members from IYM who were present on the occasion included Yukihiko Tada, Director, IYM and Om Prakash, Vice President, IYM.
Jharkhand is the 3rd state with which IYM has signed an MoU on Skill Development and Training. Prior to this, the company has signed MoUs with Uttar Pradesh and Bihar governments in 2017.
