Yulu, India’s leading shared electric mobility company, has launched the country’s first WhatsApp-based Road Safety Learning Initiative for delivery riders. The initiative, launched on the company’s platform, has thus far engaged over 3,600 Yulu riders who have completed the first module — which includes basic traffic rule education and a quiz — and earned ‘Safe Rider Beginner’ badges from Yulu. Over 1,200 of these riders also submitted video-based pledges committing to follow traffic rules.
The WhatsApp-based initiative is Yulu’s latest step in promoting road safety among the 30,000+ quick commerce and e-commerce delivery partners who use its shared EVs. As an industry leader, Yulu has consistently championed safety through its holistic ‘3E’ framework — Education, Enforcement, and Ecosystem Partnerships — integrating technology, processes, and strategic collaborations to shape rider behaviour, drive compliance and address public concerns around the safety of hyperlocal delivery.
By proactively addressing this complex, multi-stakeholder challenge, Yulu reinforces its commitment to making urban mobility safer and more sustainable for all.
