Amara Raja Infra Pvt Ltd (ARIPL), part of the $2 Billion Amara Raja Group announced that the company has been awarded a 300 MWac /390 Mwp Ground-Mounted Balance of System (BoS) Solar PV Project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI), a ‘Nava Ratna’ Central public sector enterprise.
The project encompasses the complete Balance of System (BoS) for 300MW/390Mwp Solar PV plant including the construction of a 220 kV pooling substation and subsequent 220 kV power transmission infra to the existing 220kV/400 kV PGCIL (EHV) Sub-Station at Pavagada, including operation and maintenance of the project for five years. The contract excludes the supply of PV modules, which will be supplied by M/s SECI.
This mega project will be built across 1,100 acres land near Ramagiri in Andhra Pradesh and is set for completion within 12 months from the contract date. With this project, the company has an overall order book of 3GW and has executed over 1 GW of solar portfolio.
