The countdown has begun for the winners of The Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India 2023 to be announced. At the end of the Twilight Zone of the ninth edition of India’s toughest and biggest off-road motorsport event, Goan driver Cedric Jordan DaSilva and co-driver Mackwin Dias have retained their top position with 1538 points out of 1900. They have achieved this feat due to an impeccable performance and excellent team spirit, because of which they scored a perfect 100 in 2 of the 3 Special Stages of the Twilight Zone.
This is the first time ever in the history of RFC India that a team from Goa is such a strong contender for the RFC India Champions title at this stage of the competition. Dr Mohammed Fahed VP (co-driver Rajeev Lal) from Kerala is at the second position with 1468 points. Currently, there is a huge gap of 70 points between the top two teams and unless there is a dramatic turn in the last two days of the competition, there is a high probability that this year Goa will get its first homegrown winner of RFC India.
Anand V Manjooran (Chethan Chengappa) from Kerala has maintained his third position with 1390 points. Eric Benny (Siraj) has jumped up one position to take the fourth spot with 1361 points and Dr. Chaitanya Challa (Hamdaan Khan) from Hyderabad has claimed the fifth position on the score board with 1357 points.
