Instead of just rum and beer, on your next visit to the Central Police Canteen (CPC) or the Canteen Stores Department (CSD), you can now walk away with a brand new Ford EcoSport.

Yes you read that right, Ford has now made their “most awarded car” available not only just in Ford Dealerships, but also in governmental canteens. So now you can get drunk and wake up next morning with a hangover only to realise that you just bought yourself a new car. Just make sure you don’t drive it home after the drink. But of course you wouldn’t, because it would take you a while to get one in your hands thanks to the enormous waiting list on the car.

With the development, Ford EcoSport will join the league with other trusted Ford vehicles such as the Classic, Figo and Endeavour at these stores, to cater to growing demand from serving personnel and ex-servicemen while extending the exclusive benefits including priority delivery to these men.

The EcoSport recently surpassed the One Lakh sales milestone. The waitlist for the crossover were so enormous, that Ford had to stop taking orders for a long period of time just to meet the demands on time. Ford has now reopened the bookings for the EcoSport, and to ramp up production, a new facility is on its way in Gujarat which will commence production early 2015.
