Mahindra Electric recently launched India's first all electric sedan eVerito. Mahindra & Mahindra company Mahindra Electric already manufactures the Mahindra e2O electric vehicle but it is a small car. The new battery powered sedan, the eVerito, has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Hyderabad and Nagpur.
The new eVerito is powered by Mahindra Electric's latest drivetrain technology, which is a single speed direct drive transmission. This zero emissions vehicle has a range of 110kms and can reach a top speed of 86kmph with a low running cost of Rs. 1.15 per km. The vehicle also features a boost mode which provides extra power to the car.
The eVerito is powered by a 72V Lithium ion battery pack which have a life span of 3-5 years. On a normal charge the vehicles takes 8 hours and 45 minutes to charge from 0-100pc while the top end D6 variant of the eVerito is equipped with a fast charging unit which can charge the car's battery in 1 hour and 45 minutes at one of a 140 Mahindra Fast Charging stations which are being setup across New Delhi.
