In spite of team mate Lewis Hamilton snapping at his heels for a good part of the race, Valtteri Bottas of Mercedes continued with his lead to win the 2017 Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the last race of the season, making it a 1-2 for Mercedes. Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari could only manage a distant third for his team.
