Mahindra Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi won both CIV races at Misano recently where he was a wild card entry in Round 5 and 6 of the Italian National Motorcycle Racing Championship.
Mahindra’s MGP30 racer featured important upgrades that helped Bezzecchi achieve these impressive results over the weekend. He completed 16 laps and crossed the finish line in less than 28 minutes and 8 seconds in both the races, with the fastest lap time of 1’44.141.
The 18-year-old Italian’s triumph came at the Misano World Circuit, a race track located next to the town of Misano Adriatico. The circuit is 4226 metres in length and 12 metres wide.
“We are delighted at this fantastic performance by Marco on the Mahindra MGP30. The team’s hard work to enhance the performance of our racing bike is clearly bearing fruit and gives us confidence that we are moving in the right direction,” said Mufaddal Choonia, CEO, Mahindra Racing.
The new upgrades are the latest in a series of planned enhancements to the MGP30 racer that come from Mahindra Racing’s state-of-the-art technical development centre at Besozzo, near Varese in northern Italy.
