The 5th edition of Supra SAEIndia saw Team Kratos Racing from PC College of Engineering emerging victorious at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida. Team The Interceptors V2.0 from Dr. D.Y. Patil Institute of Technology emerged as the runner up and team Amrita Racing from Amrita School of Engineering bagged the second runner up position. The best woman participant award went to Davindrvjit Kaur from GDEC College while team AIOUS formula student from IGIT walked away with the trophy for the team with the maximum number of women participants.
The valedictory session was graced by Chief Guest, Dr David Schutt, CEO, SAE International and Guest of Honor, C.V. Raman, Executive Director, Engineering, Maruti Suzuki India Limited. Other guests at the session included R.S.Kalsi (executive director, Marketing and sales, MSIL), Aravind Bharadwaj (SAE India President) and Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian Formula 1 driver who visited Supra 2016 on July 8, the penultimate day of the event, to interact with the student community and share his experiences.
