In a nail-biting competition with a fierce fight going on for the top spot, Satish Kumar and co-driver Chethan Chengappa from Karnataka have grabbed the first spot on Day 4 of the Rainforest Challenge (RFC) India 2022 underway in Goa. The challenge is organised by Cougar Motorsport.
As per the provisional results that were announced on completion of SS 13 to 16 of the mega offroad motorsport event, the duo from Karnataka have accumulated 1230 points out of 1600. They have accomplished this feat with a perfect 100 in SS 13 and 95 points each in SS 15 and 16.
Dr Mohammed Fahed VP and Rajeev Lal from Kerala, who were at the top till now, have gone down one spot to claim the second position with 1226 points. Kabir Waraich and Dushyant Khosla from Chandigarh, N Abinav Reddy and Vishuthi Varun from Telangana as well as Dattaraj Raut Dessai and Siddesh Yadav Naik from Goa have retained their third, fourth and fifth positions with 1178, 1130 and 1099 points respectively.
However, it is too early to predict the winners as the competitors will now enter the Twilight Zone of RFC India 2022, which is considered to be a game changer.
