No, it was not Baby’s Day Out, rather it was the Queens’ day out! Big Boy Toyz (BBT), a leading pre-owned luxury car company, organised the first edition of women supercars drive that witnessed a massive participation from women car enthusiasts
BBT was inspired to create Queens Drive Club for women that are interested and passionate about cars. With 30 women participants the drive was inaugurated with a flag-off at the BBT Headquarters, Gurugram. The launch was also attended by Bollywood star Yuvika Chaudhary along with Prince Narula and television fame Pearl Puri.
With a flag-off at the BBT Gurgaon showroom the participants headed towards the Aravali Hills at 8:00 a.m. The 2-hour drive was followed by a champagne brunch, live music and relaxing session with fun activities. Post the drive, luxurious self-care pampering session was organised by BBT that included a relaxing foot and shoulder massage by Delhi’s luxury salon, Levo.
The “queens” were accompanied by a live makeup studio kiosk. There was also customised jewellery designing for all the women by Aetee Jewellery. The event also observed some spellbinding art exhibition by the stellar artist Michelle Poonawala during the brunch.
Ritika Jain Ahuja, Founder of the Queens Drive Club and COO of BBT, spoke about the event, “I wanted to create a platform for women like me who love to drive and are interested in supercars. As I believe women can run a family, company and a whole nation then there is nothing that we can’t do. My main goal was to break the stereotype that women aren’t good drivers”
Dr. Neharika Yadhav, dental surgeon and superbike racer added, “When Ritika called me and shared her thoughts on starting the 1st women’s supercar club I was super excited to be a part of it as no one has previously worked on bringing women behind such beautiful power machines together on one platform. Being women who share the same passion of need for speed and all things beautiful inside out this is a great merger. After all, why should only boys have all the toys?”
Roshni Misbah, biker and owner of a superbike store commented, “You can be an absolute smart and tough woman and still not lose your femininity.” Driving a Lamborghini Gallardo Noctis, Sneha Berry said, “I’ve always been fascinated whenever I came across super car clubs. But I have always seen only men have been a part of it. I always wanted to experience the thrill and fun of these super car clubs. Now being a part of Queens drive car club, I got the opportunity to experience the same."
“In fact, Queens club has given me a great platform to socialise and connect with other female enthusiasts. It is intriguing how the club has already started activities like photo shoots, champagne lunch. I’m glad I got on board and can’t wait to experience what more Queens drive club has in store for us,” she added.
