GoZero Mobility a company that has apparently a UK based
label, has made its way into the Indian market with the launch of two e-cycles
– One and Mile for a price of Rs 32,999 and 29,999 respectively. After one year
of design & technology development in Birmingham, United Kingdom, GoZero
Mobility has decided to embark upon its product journey through India which is
one of the largest 2 wheeler and bicycle market in the world.
The company has plans to launch three more products by the
end of 2019 which include Delivr - a B2B oriented utility vehicle, One W – a
unisex aimed at females and Smart – the company’s most ambitious top tier cycle
boasting of connected mobility features.
The GoZero One is powered by a 400Wh lithium battery pack
which will deliver a claimed range of 60km on a single charge andGoZero Mile is
powered with 300Wh battery providing a 45km range. Both cycles have a steel
frame and get disc brakes on both wheels. The cycles can reach a top speed of
25kmph in the electric cruise mode. The GoZero One gets 5 levels of assist and
an LCD display on the handlebar. The display houses metrics like current speed,
distance covered, battery level and assist level. The GoZero Mile, on the other
hand, has 3 riding modes. Both cycles get removable batteries with charging
times of about 2.5 hours.
GoZero will be selling the cycles through three distributers
and over 80 dealers in East India and Delhi NCR, gradually expanding across the
country. Deliveries for the GoZero One and Mile will begin from April 15, 2019.
The company is planning to open 18 experience centres and a network of over
1000 retailers in next 2 years. GoZero will also be launching its signature
range of lifestyle merchandise designed in the UK, which includes tees, sweat
shirts, jackets, belts, and wallets etc.
Commenting on its India entry and plans for this market,
GoZero Mobility CEO, Ankit Kumar said “With the significant focus by the

transforming the way we commute in India. GoZero Mobility is determined to

GoZero Mobility has partnered up with Kirti Solar a company
based in Kolkata, for the development and manufacturing of current and future
products, utilising the global supply chain to “Make in India”. As a part of
the association, Kirti Solar has invested USD 250,000 in GoZero Mobility.
Manufacturing is going to take place from Kolkata, West Bengal with an initial
capacity of 20,000 units per annum. The partnership is for the global market &
aimed to make India as an export hub for global sales of GoZero E-Bikes.
