While India is amongst the top when it comes to mobile gaming, mainstream PC and console gaming in India is still a far from having its share under the limelight. But that is not to say that we do not have enthusiasts, for whom gaming is an essential part of life. To nurture the gaming culture MSI and Nvidia joined hands held the Gamer Connect, with the sole purpose of reaching out to Indian gamers and have a one-on-one interaction. This time, the event was held at SMC International in Nehru Place, New Delhi on the 16th of September, 2017 and it is bound to be held in other cities across the country.
The event was hosted by Nvidia, MSI, Gamedias India SteelSeries India and G.Skill India and it provided an opportunity for young Indian gamers to come in contact with more people like them. Representatives from SMC, Nvidia, Acro and more were present at the event and educated all those present regarding the latest technologies and products in the industry and even answered some their questions. So not only was this a fun event but also proved to be an educational one. Gamers got their hands on the latest high end laptops from MSI and there was an eye popping custom PC built by Ant PC. It had everything that would make any PC enthusiast go weak in the knees. The case had a see through panel, an MSI GTX 1080, water cooling and RGB RAM sticks as well. Gamers even got to see the latest X299 motherboards, AMD's RX Vega 56, AMD Threadripper CPUs and many more high end in the flesh.
All those who attended the event were also eligible for special discounts that were applicable only on that day. Gamers could buy their favourite accessories such as gaming chairs, keyboards, mouse, graphics cards and even headphones at a discounted price. Once the event was nearing the end, the hosts were kind enough to treat the guests with pizza and cold drinks before bidding adieu.
