VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (A Volvo Group and Eicher Motors joint venture) sold 6087 units in December 2017 as compared to 4071 units in December 2016, recording a growth of 49.5%. This includes 5955 units of Eicher brand and 132 units of Volvo brand.
The Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded a total sale of 5955 units in December 2017 (YTD 42120 units) as compared to 3969 units in December 2016 (LYTD 40546 units), recording a growth of 50%.
In the domestic CV market, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded sales of 5045 units (YTD 36099 units) in December 2017 as compared to 3269 units in December 2016 (LYTD 34395 units) representing a growth of 54.3%.
On the exports front, Eicher branded trucks & buses have recorded a total sale of 910 units in December 2017 (YTD 6021 units) as compared to 700 units in December 2016 (LYTD 6151 units) representing a growth of 30%.
Volvo Trucks has recorded sales of 132 units in December 2017 (YTD 707 units) as compared to 102 units in December 2016 (LYTD 738 units), recording a growth of 29.4%.
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited. In operation since July 2008, the company includes the complete range of Eicher branded trucks and buses, VE Powertrain, Eicher’s components businesses as well as the sales and distribution business of Volvo trucks within India.
