On the occasion of the 2013 MotoGP, the premier motorcycle racing world championship, Iveco has supplied a total of 20 new Stralis Hi-Way trucks to both the competing Yamaha Factory Racing Team, whose members include current world title champion Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, a past four-time title champion, and to Dorna Sports, the championship’s Spanish organiser. The delivery ceremony took place recently following the qualifying trials at the Gran Premio bwin of Spain on the Jerez de La Frontera circuit. Present at the ceremony were: Yamaha Team Factory Racing riders Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi, Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing, and the CEO of Dorna Sports, Carmelo Ezpeleta. The new Stralis Hi-Way is Iveco’s flagship heavy road vehicle. It was recognised as the International Truck of the Year 2013 and is manufactured at the company’s production facility in Madrid, Spain.
