Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd., a 50:50 joint venture between Eicher Motors Ltd and Polaris Industries Inc. that manufactures Multix – India’s first Personal Utility Vehicle, has announced its full compliance with Bharat Stage IV norms, across all its variants. EPPL has rolled-out its BSIV compliant vehicles ahead (beginning March 2017) of the Environment Pollution Control Authority’s regulation deadline of April 1.
Eicher Polaris Pvt Ltd launched India’s first personal utility vehicle Multix in June 2015 at the plant in Kukas, Jaipur addressing a need gap in the market and to build a new consumer segment in the Indian automobile industry.
In its first year of launch, Multix was present in 30 markets in August 2015 and now present in 13 states and over 70 markets. The company plans to expand its dealership network to 150 plus markets by Q3 of 2017 with the BS IV compliant Multix variants.
