the show. These included the Torro 31 8X4 Tipper, Torro 25 Tipper, Truxo 25
Transit Mixer and the Mahindra EarthMaster SX.
For the Mahindra EarthMaster
SX Backhoe Loader, the company has taken its learning from tractor engines to
bring its fuel consumption down to 4 litres per hour. . It has a 20pc less
diesel consumption per hour than any other 76 HP Backhoe Loader. The machine is
powered by a 4 cylinder 2735cc engine which is turbocharged intercooled.
There was also a new Truxo 25
Transit Mixer from Mahindra. With a GVW if 25000kg, the vehicle is powered by a
m-Power 7.2 litre TCIC BS III engine mated to a manual synchromesh gearbox. The
engine delivers 170HP@2200 rpm and a peak torque of 848 Nm@1050 rpm. The

Transmission champions Allison
Transmission had its product showcased in a truck fitted with their
transmission. It was a Tata truck at the Tata Motors stall. Leader in the
commercial vehicle automatic transmissions space, Allison Transmission has a
major presence in the Indian commercial vehicle space. Be it vehicles for
agriculture, construction, distribution, transit buses, school , etc, Allison
Transmission is in the forefront of fully automatic transmissions.
Allison’s patented torque
convertor efficiently multiplies engine torque and smoothly transfers it into
the gearbox. This fluid coupling component provides a controlled, cushioning
effect that virtually eliminates driveline shock. An Allison fully automatic
transmission increases power while a manual or automated manual transmission
(AMT) loses power with every shift. An Allison Automatic eliminates power
interrupts so you can accomplish more, even with a smaller engine.
Operators get better
startability, faster acceleration, and better traction and drive wheel control.
Fleet owners get reduced maintenance costs, additional driver ease, increased
fuel economy and improved productivity.
