On January 29, 2015 one of India’s leading tractor manufacturers, Escorts Limited launched its most effective tractors – the Farmtrac Heritage Series at the East Africa Agri Business Exhibition 2015. H E Mohamed Gharib Bilal, Vice President, United Republic of Tanzania unveiled the 6075 four wheel drive (4WD) tractor. The Farmtrac Heritage Series will usher in a generation of change in the tractor market in Tanzania and contribute towards an agricultural evolution.
Farmtrac 6075 has been built for tough front and reverse haulage operations. The tractor has been made for rural roads offering good value for money to its owners. Escorts claim the ergonomically engineered Farmtrac Heritage 6075 to be one of the most fuel efficient vehicles in its class. The vehicle makes for a more economical proposition than the two wheel drive tractors which are currently being sold in that market. The manufacturers claim that the vehicle delivers maximum control over the machine and offers a safe driving experience as well. The Farmtrac Heritage 6075 from Escorts is expected to revolutionise the sub 80hp farm market through a world class product which has been priced competitively.
Rajesh Kumar, Vice President International Business, Escorts Agri Machinery, said, “The Escorts group has more than 2000 satisfied customers in Tanzania. We are proud to have an opportunity to bring our tractors under the ‘Kilimo Kwanza’ (Agriculture First) program which will help Tanzania in becoming a food surplus country. To further improve the ties with Tanzania, I am delighted to announce the launch of our premium range of powerful and fuel efficient Farmtrac Heritage tractors. These vehicles have been ergonomically engineered and designed specifically for the African market. The Farmtrac Heritage 6075 tractor is best suited for Tanzania’s farmers who need maximum productivity along with harvest benefits. We hope that our products will help us to achieve the shared vision of a prosperous and bountiful Tanzania.”
Max Mhagama, Sales Manager, Noble Motors Limited said, "We are delighted to bring the Farmtrac Heritage Series of tractors to Tanzanian farmers.
