Electric commercial mobility platform Youdha has unveiled ‘EPOD-Bharat’, a limited-edition, hand-painted version of its flagship L5 electric passenger three-wheeler. The special edition celebrates India’s artistic heritage while paying tribute to the creativity, strength and resilience of the country’s women and traditional artisans.
Showcased at the Bharat Vyapar Mahotsav at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, EPOD-Bharat features a vibrant hand-painted exterior inspired by Warli art, depicting women, rural life, nature and community celebrations. The initiative brings together India’s traditional craftsmanship with the country’s growing transition towards electric mobility.
“EPOD-Bharat is our tribute to the spirit of Bharat and to the women and artisans whose creativity and resilience continue to shape our country. We wanted to bring traditional Indian art onto a modern electric mobility platform, creating a vehicle that represents both our heritage and our aspirations for the future,” said Ayush Lohia, CEO, Youdha
The Youdha EPOD is an L5 electric passenger three-wheeler powered by a 6 kW motor delivering 50 Nm of torque and an 11.8 kWh lithium-ion LFP battery. It offers a certified range of up to 227 kilometers* on a single charge and comes with City and Boost driving modes. The vehicle also features a 300 mm water-wading capacity, making it suitable for varied Indian road and weather conditions.
Available at a starting price of Rs 3.20 lakh, the EPOD has been developed keeping the needs of self-employed drivers and mobility entrepreneurs at its core, offering a combination of range, performance, durability and operating efficiency.
The EPOD is manufactured at Youdha’s production facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, which has an installed annual capacity of 1,00,000 units and is equipped with automated assembly lines, end-of-line testing and quality control systems.
With EPOD-Bharat, Youdha is also highlighting the role of India's artisans in preserving traditional forms of expression. By bringing their artistic language onto a contemporary electric vehicle, the company aims to create a connection between India’s cultural legacy and its electric mobility future.
As Youdha continues to expand its electric mobility portfolio across passenger and cargo applications, EPOD-Bharat represents the brand’s larger vision of bringing technology, livelihood and Indian identity together on the road.
