Switch Mobility of the Hinduja Group has showcased a specially configured international variant of its flagship Switch EiV12, a 12-metre, fully electric intra-city bus, bearing a distinctive international-market decal, reflecting the company's ambition to drive India’s position as a hub of clean, connected mobility. Organised by Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO), the expo was held in from Wednesday 17 June – Sunday 21 June 2026.
The participation holds special resonance in Mauritius, a market where Switch Mobility has already established a strong operational presence. Earlier this year, the company completed the delivery of 100 electric buses to the Government of Mauritius, the largest-ever electric bus export from India, most of which has already been deployed by National Transport Corporation (NTC). The expo provided Switch an opportunity to further deepen its engagement with Mauritian stakeholders and demonstrate the next chapter of its international product evolution.
The vehicle on display, the EiV12 in its international avatar operated by Triolet Bus Service, is a purpose-engineered, next-generation electric bus designed for efficiency, passenger comfort with 48 seats in an ergonomically optimized configuration, and operational reliability.

Powering the bus is a Permanent Magnet Synchronous AC Motor with a peak output of 235 kW, supported by advanced LFP battery chemistry specifically formulated for tropical and demanding climatic conditions. The bus supports DC Fast Charging via the CCS-2 interface, with dual-gun fast charging capability enabling minimal turnaround time between trips, a critical operational advantage for fleet operators. Floor-mounted batteries lower the vehicle's centre of gravity for superior stability, while front and rear air suspension ensures a smooth, comfortable ride even on challenging road surfaces. EiV12 is built on a robust 12-metre modular platform with a streamlined, aerodynamic profile tailored for both intracity and intercity operations and can be adapted to accommodate various battery options which can provide of range of upto 300 kms.
At the heart of the EiV12's intelligence is Switch iON, the company's proprietary connected technology platform, which enables real-time remote diagnostics, vehicle health monitoring, predictive maintenance, and fleet performance optimisation. The bus is also equipped with a Fire Detection and Suppression System (FDSS), reinforcing Switch's commitment to passenger safety as an engineering priority, not an afterthought. Large window glass areas, a lower seating entry height, and generous interior that is as passenger centric as it is operationally intelligent.
