Tata Motors led the electric commercial vehicles segment in May 2026 auto retails as it recorded 879 units as compared to 230 units in May 2025. That is an 282.17pc YOY growth. This data was provided by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations of India (FADA). Companies that were among the top sellers included Euler Motors, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, Switch Mobility and JBM Auto among others.
Euler Motors recorded 547 units sales, while Mahindra Last mile Mobility recorded 263 units in May 2026. Switch Mobility sold 214 units while JBM Auto sold 157 units during the period. The others recorded double digit units in sales. A total of 2400 units of electric commercial vehicles were sold in May 2026 as compared to 1094 units in May 2025, a 119.4pc increase in sales.
In the electric three wheeler segment, Bajaj Auto was the leader with 11,905 units sold in May 2026 as compared to 6373 units in May 2025. This translated into an 86.80pc. Mahindra Last Mile Mobility sold 11,149 units (67597 units), followed by TVS Motor Company that sold 3590 units (1617 units). A total of 71867 units of electric three wheelers were sold in May 2026 as compared to 66185 units in May 2025
