A total of 1146 electric commercial vehicles (CVs) were retailed in the country in the month of June 2025, in contrast to 515 units sold in the corresponding period last year. This translated to a growth of 122.5 per cent year on year, according to data published by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA).
Tata Motors led the pack with sales of 309 units for June 2025 as compared to 331 units in June 2024. This was followed by Mahindra Group with 171 units (27units). While Tata Motors degrew by -6.6 per cent year on years, companies like Mahindra Group, Switch Mobility, JBM Auto, Pinnacle and Olectra recorded positive growth
The Mahindra Group led the retails sales for electric three wheelers in the country with 7316 units as compared to 4787 units in June 2024. A total of 60,559 units of electric three wheelers were sold in the country in June 2025 as compared to 52,302 units in the corresponding period last year.
