In order to prove its mettle and its battery range, electric 3 wheeler manufacturer Altigreen put to test its product, the Altigreen neEV on a 150 kms plus inter-city test drive.
With a lithium-ion charged all-electric powertrain, the Altigreen neEV three-wheeler cargo vehicle completed the 150+ kms inter city drive between two iconic places of Karnataka, i.e. Mysore Palace and Bangalore Palace, on a single charge in about six hours.
The 6-hour run started with a flag off at Mysore Palace in the morning and concluded at Bangalore Palace at 11 am. Dr Amitabh Saran – Founder & CEO – Altigreen, Shalendra Gupta – Co-Founder Altigreen and Debashis Mitra – Director – Sales, Service & Marketing received the vehicle with a flag in.
Altigreen, an electric last mile transportation company, showcased the capability of its maiden product neEV by delivering 150+ kms on single charge.
Altigreen, a ten- year-old Bengaluru-based company has been investing heavily in the Research and Development of EV technology, bringing disruptive innovation in the space.
With the rising demand for last-mile passenger and goods transportation in the aftermath of theCovid-19 pandemic, the Indian 3W market is projected to grow to Rs 14,000 crores in FY23 with electric 3Ws (L5segment) comprising around 20% penetration at Rs 4,500crore.
The Made-in-India and Made-for-India Altigreen neEV has both, class-leading performance - Range, Ground Clearance, Top Speed and highest Volumetric load-carrying capacity. With upcoming products slated later this year, the company aims to grab a leading position in this space.
Dr Amitabh Saran, Founder & CEO of Altigreen said, “Range anxiety is one of the biggest concerns for electric vehicle owners and potential buyers. This is a bigger challenge for small format vehicles that deliver essential goods and perishables. Frequent charging is out of the question since EV charging infrastructure is still at a nascent stage in our country. Essentially, we need holistic solutions, not tomorrow but today. Therefore we designed the vehicle around a larger Lion battery pack (11kWh versus market competition at 8kWh) and used our technology leadership (26 global patents owned by Altgreen) to ensure highest regeneration of energy and thus, maximum mileage. Today’s inter-city run reinforces our commitment towards “Peace of Mind” electric drives.
Debashis Mitra – Director – Sales, Service & Marketing said that “Altigreen is poised to build a country-wide network and will bring innovative products in the coming months, which will continue the class-leading journey of neEV in both the Cargo and Passenger categories”.
