Rural sentiments continued to have its impact on the Indian tractor industry as this segment recorded a negative 10.32 per cent slump in retail sales for December 2021, as compared to December 2020, according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) while releasing the vehicle retail data for December 2021.
FADA President Vinkesh Gulati said that various state governments have once again announced covid restrictions. Work and education from home have resumed and will have a negative effect for auto retail. With the fear of health care expenses rising again, the customers are shying away from closing their purchase decisions, he mentioned.
