Seiki Mobility Pvt. Ltd. (OSM), part of the Anglian Omega Group unveiled
India’s first electric small commercial vehicle (SCV)M1KA. Omega Seiki Mobility
will start accepting bookings of the vehicle from Quarter 4 of 2021 i.e between
October to December 2021. The vehicle is expected to cost around Rs 15 to Rs 16 lakh.
M1KA electric small commercial vehicle from Omega Seiki Mobility or OSM is built on advanced high strength steel
chassis which gives it increased tensile strength. The modular platform on
which the vehicle has been built can be further modified for various
applications. It has a spacious and large ten feet loading area. It has a
payload of 2 tonnes.

M1KA is a good looker with LED projector headlamps with LED guide lights. It
has fog lamps too. It has 90kwh Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt Oxide (NMC)
battery. The battery pack weighs a whopping 700 kg. It is a high energy density
battery. An active cooling unit will be part of the battery management to keep
operating temperature under check.
NMC batteries maintain lower levels of
resistance during the course of its life cycle leading to an overall longer
shelf life of the vehicle.
battery has a segment leading range of 250km on single charge. OSM is working
closely with several battery manufacturers to develop fast charging batteries
M1KA has an advanced 30kw motor developed by the company in close association
with its partners. The motor produces a peak output of 347Nm. The motor has
been developed in India for India. The electric motor is coupled to a 5 speed
manual transmission and a dry clutch.

ample storage spaces and cubby holes along with charging points. The Mika comes
with Android Auto wherein you get real time alerts with Google Maps along with
turn by turn navigation. Android Auto allows you to take phone calls without
letting your hands off the wheel. Using
the power of IoT, the Mika boasts of more than 20 connected features including
remote commands, driving analytics, vehicle health status as well as location
tyres of the new Mika may look a bit oversized but the fact is that this is
vehicle on display in New Delhi is still not in its final form. The vehicle
will take its final shape in the near future but will have all the features
for this electric small commercial vehicle opens in the Q3 of this fiscal i-e
in Oct-Dec 2021.The booking amount is Rs 9999. According to Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman, OSM, the
company will initially accept only 2000 bookings.
The vehicle is expected to be built finally at
a new plant in Karnataka.

Seiki Mobility, which has its EV manufacturing plant in Faridabad, launched its
first electric three-wheeler in the country in early 2020 and the company aims
