Volvo Trucks has launched its FMX truck in India, built specifically for deep opencast mining and heavy construction applications. It brings many new features and those features are developed based on the feedback from Volvo Truck drivers. Drivers can look forward to exceptional driveline performance with power and efficiency of the 440 hp, 13-litre engine. The Volvo FMX440 Tipper is fitted with a fully synchronized 14-speed splitter range gearbox with higher torque level of 2200 NM matched perfectly to the engine characteristics. Perfectly matched driveline will ensure fuel efficiency. “We are extremely proud of this truck and believe that this new high performance tipper would set higher performance standard and raise the bar in opencast mining haulage productivity and efficiency with unmatched safety standards.” says Somnath Bhattacharjee, President, Volvo Trucks India.
