To add more glamour and power to the Auto Expo 2014 show, Yamaha Motors invited its brand endorser and the youth icon John Abraham at its stall. John graced the occasion along with the senior management of Yamaha. John was also ceremoniously handed over the keys of the super sport YZF-R1. Being an avid biker himself, John was upbeat about the Auto Show. The presence was followed by a recent announcement on the extension of Yamaha’s association with Abraham who will continue to be the brand ambassador of the company’s flagship bikes. The company believes that a biking enthusiast himself, John Abraham will further take Yamaha’s brand image to the consumer. The target audience identifies with him because he signifies the sense of style, speed and ruggedness. Yamaha endeavors to inculcate the rider’s spirit with a sense of freedom as well as promote safe biking culture in the country, and John would be a better promoter than the rider himself.
John added glamour, style and power to the show and also interacted with Yamaha’s maiden mascot. The company had recently introduced its mascot to promote the Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP) which is a first of its kind social initiative to educate and influence both parents and children about vital road safety measures. The mascot had to be named through a naming contest which concluded on January 27, 2014.The company also announced the naming contest winner who named the mascot as ‘Zippy’. John felicitated the winner who was rewarded with 1 year scholarship and other attractive prizes.
