Ahmedabad-based drivebuddy AI, a leading innovator in AI-powered Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Driver Monitoring Systems (DMS), showcased its AI and vision-based safety solutions at the Arai Adas Test City. Following its global debut at CES 2026, the company demonstrated its technologies on the test track, highlighting systems designed to perform reliably across India’s complex and diverse real-world driving conditions.
During the event, drivebuddyAI conducted live on-track demonstrations on a Heavy Commercial Vehicle (HCV), showcasing the platform’s ability to perform different test scenarios for ADAS compliances. These included Driver Drowsiness & Attention Warning System AIS184 especially drowsiness with extended scenarios for Euro compliance test cases, with seatbelt detection, phone use & distractions; Moving off information system AIS187 with pedestrian crossing from the front of the moving vehicle within a distance range of 1 meter to 5 meters; blind spot information system AIS186 using a cyclist dummy to detect potential impact points; and forward vehicle collision warning fused with radar & camera based detection.
All test cases were performed on a single hardware, a single application, and a single system, with all cameras fused to create 360-degree perception. The demonstration and underlying technology showcased use cases beyond compliance, i.e., demonstrating practical, real-world applications beyond a defined test case from the compliance document.
drivebuddyAI’s ADAS product suite has been validated on close to 4 billion kilometres of driving data, contributing to a 80% reduction in drowsiness-related incidents and a 70%+ reduction in overall fleet risk. The solutions are validated and compliant under India’s AIS-184 Driver Monitoring standard and the European Union’s General Safety Regulation (GSR) 2144 and the Euro Ncap 2026 driver engagement protocol. While this round of demonstrations focused on commercial vehicle classes (M2, M3, N2, N3), the technology is fully scalable to passenger vehicles (M1), offering original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) & Tier-I suppliers a future-ready pathway to exceed evolving global safety mandates.
Talking about the participation at the Adas Event, Nisarg Pandya, CEO and Founder of drivebuddyAI, said, “Adas Test City from ARAI is a great initiative, and we value participating in a format where we can showcase live demonstrations to a large audience together on the vehicle. This time, the turnout was significant and provided a strong opportunity to establish drivebuddyAI as one of the key players in the upcoming OEM compliance requirements. The engagement and response we received were phenomenal, reinforcing both the market need and the industry’s confidence in our solutions.”
He further added, “The upcoming ADAS-compliant vehicles must have technology that works in Indian scenarios to achieve meaningful safety improvements and reduce fatalities.”
With the approach drivebuddyAI has taken for implementing AI for ADAS from fleets, validating it across billions of KMs and then tuning the technology for OEM use cases and compliances, it can deliver a highly mature and field-validated product with a superior user experience.
