German luxury car manufacturer Mercedes Benz premiered their new S-Class at the 17th Shanghai Auto show. The new Mercedes Benz S-Class comes with the Distronic active proximity control while the Active Steering Assist gets new and modified funcationality. The S-Class also gets advanced features such as Road Surface Scan and Curve tilting function as well. All these new additions to the S-Class help it in moving closer to autonomous driving.
The new Mercedes S-Class also comes equipped with a more developed camera and radar system which gets a range of upto 250 meters thus allowing automated driving off the highways as well. The German stalwart is also using map and navigation data to assimalate drive styles.
The new Mercedes Benz S Class is powered by a new inline 6 cylinder and a new V8 bi-turbo petrol engine. The company is also working on a plug-in hybrid with an electric range of 50kms. The comapny is also working on new benchmarks in terms of comfort. Their Energizing comfort control works with a bundle of different control systems like climate control, ambient lighting, massage, fragrance functions to adapt to the modd or need of the occupants.
