Isuzu Motors India will be launching their
MUX, a 7 seater SUV in India in the second week of May 2017. The company launched
the D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck for the passenger utility vehicle space in 2016.
Isuzu is said to be bringing the MUX to India in a CKD format and will assemble
the SUV at their Sri City plant in Andhra Pradesh.
The installed capacity of the facility in
Sri City is 50,000 units. However, at present the plant is functioning way
below its installed capacity, having produced 2884 units in FY 16-17. The
company will be introducing the MUX into a space where its predecessor the MU-7
failed to make any headway. However, if the company is able to get the price
right on the MUX SUV, they may be able to turn their fortunes in India before
it gets too late. Here is a look at what all the Isuzu MUX may offer when
launched in India.

Isuzu MUX India Variants & Price
Isuzu may bring in the MUX as an affordable
option in India, with prices ranging between Rs. 24 to 28 lakh (ex-showroom

present, Isuzu is already importing the 2.5L diesel mill for the D-Max V-Cross

the MUX will compete with the likes of the Fortuner and the Endeavour, Isuzu
may choose to price it lower to gain a sustainable market share.
