German luxury car maker Audi launched the new A3 sedan in India for Rs. 30,50,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the 35 TFSI petrol variant. Prices for the 35 TDI diesel variant starts at Rs. 32,30,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). This is Audi's 5th product of 2017 and will be powered by a 1.4L TFSI petrol engine as well as a 2.0L TDI diesel mill.
The car was launched in the capital by Rahil Ansari, Head, Audi India in the presence of Bollywood actress Nimrat Kaur and former cricketer Ravi Shastri.
Alongside efficient engines Audi is also offering newly designed headlamps and tail lamps on the new A3 sedan. The 1.4L TFSI variant gets Audi's Cylinder On Demand technology and the company has claimed that it will be capable of returning 19.2kms to a litre. The 35 TDI diesel variant is said to return 20.38kmpl and produces a maximum of 143hp while the finely tuned petrol 1.4L engine is capable of turning 150hp.
The engines on the new A3 sedan have been mated to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission for the petrol engine and a 6-speed unit for the diesel. The A3 sedan also features a 7-inch electrically retractable MMI display, LED headlamps, rear dynamic turn indicator, Audi Sound System, Cruise Control with a speed limiter function, panoramic sun roof, Milano leather seats, electrically adjustable front seats, dual zone air conditioning, Audi Phone Box with wireless charging and lots more.
Audi's latest offering also gets spacious interiors and a luggage capacity of 425 litres. The sedan gets a wheelbase of 2637mm and is 4458mm long. Also on offer are sporty looking 16' alloys while the new front grille gets a sharper contour and a wider single frame. Both the headlamps and the tail lamps have been redesigned and look more appealing than before.
