Volkswagen has announced its monthly sales performance for March 2017, selling 4792 units, constituting a 34% growth as compared to 3570 vehicles sold in the corresponding month of the previous year.
In March, Volkswagen announced the start of production for the Tiguan from the Aurangabad Plant. With Tiguan, Volkswagen will foray into the competitive SUV segment in India. Built on the MQB (modular transverse matrix) platform, the Tiguan is the best-selling SUV in its class, globally, that will reach, Indian market shortly.
