Japanese auto major, Honda launched their latest City sedan in India for a starting price of Rs. 8,49,990 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new facelift of the 2017 Honda City features LED DRLs as standard along with a brand new LED headlamp setup for the top end trims. The engine and drive train remain the same but the sedan now features a moderately refreshed interior.

The Honda City now also features LED fog lamps, LED rear combination lamps, new diamond cut 16 inch alloy wheels as well as LED license plate lamps and a trunk lid spoiler. The sedan now gets an advanced 17.7cm touch screen infotainment setup which features satellite linked navigation, voice recognition, bluetooth telephony, audio streaming, 1.5GB of internal memory, 2 USB slots, 2 micro SD Slots and 1 HDMI input as well. It also gets smart phone integration through mirror link and support for WiFi to browse the internet and access emails.
The touch screen also doubles up as a display for the rear parking camera which comes with three different view modes. On the technology front as well, the new 2017 Honda City gets white and red illumination for the engine start/ stop button, fully automatic dimming for the inside rear view mirror and LED interior cabin lights. The engines powering the new City are a 1.5L i-DTEC diesel which churns out 99hp of power and 200Nm of torque as well as the 1.5L i-VTEC which turns 98hp and 145Nm. The diesel mill is available only with a 6-speed manual transmission while the petrol motor gets options for a 7-speed CVT as well as a 5-speed manual. The diesel engine is capable of returning 25.6kmpl while the manual petrol returns 17.4kmpl and the CVT variant returns 18km to the litre.
