Leading utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has launched a new mild hybrid technology 'Intelli-Hybrid' on their new generation Scorpio. The technology reduces fuel consumption by 7pc and is available on the Scorpio S10 2WD variant which has been launched for Rs. 13.39 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 'Intelli-Hybrid' system reduces fuel consumption by providing the engine with electric power during acceleration, auto start-stop while idling and brake force regeneration to charge batteries. The Mahindra Scorpio has previously also introduced technologies like a Voice Messaging System, Micro Hybrid start-stop technology, first in segment CRDe engine and 6-speed Automatic Transmission.

Mahindra will offer the 'Intelli-Hybrid' system on the following variants of Scorpio with the 2.2 litre mHAWK engine: S4, S4+, S4+ 4wd, S6+, S8, S10-2WD (Manual Transmission) and S10-4WD (Manual Transmission).
