Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM)
has launched the new 2nd generation Innova Crysta. The new Innova Crysta is priced
in the range of Rs. 13,83,677 and Rs. 20,
77,930 (Ex-showroom Mumbai). Bookings for the new Innova Crysta have begun along
with vehicle display at Toyota dealerships. Unfortunately, because of the Supreme Court ban on diesel cars in Delhi
NCR with engine capacities of 2000cc and above, this new vehicle from Toyota cannot
be sold in this region.
The Innova Crysta will be
available in two grades with an automatic transmission (Zx & Gx) and four
grades with manual transmission (Zx, Vx, Gx & G).
The Innova Crysta now has an
all-new 2.8 L diesel engine with an all-new 6 speed Automatic Transmission and
an all-new 2.4 L Diesel engine with an all-new 5 speed Manual Transmission. The
Crysta has an all new frame that has significantly improved toughness and
enhanced ride comfort. It also has Eco & Power drive modes.
As for safety features, for
all variants, the standard features include 3 Airbags, Antilock Braking System
(ABS), Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) & Brake Assist (BA),
height adjustable Seatbelt with Pre Tensioner & Force Limiter (PT/FL) for
front seat, 3 point seatbelt for all occupants & Child restraint system
(ISOFIX). For the Zx variant in addition to these standard safety features
there are 7 Airbags, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) & Hill-start Assist
The Crysta will now be
available in new colours that include Garnet Red, White Pearl Crystal Shine and
Avant-garde Bronze. The MPV now comes with a 3D Design Combination Meter with
4.2" TFT Multi Information Display and an 8 way power adjustable driver
seat , besides features like Automatic LED projector headlamps, Ambient
illumination, Upper glove box with cooling, One touch tumble second row seat, Rear
Auto AC with Digital Display and Easy slide front passenger seat.
The Innova Crysta engine
delivers 172bhp and 360 Nm torque while offering fuel economy of 14.29 kmpl for
the 2.8L 6 speed automatic transmission variant and 15.10 kmpl for the 2.4L 5
speed manual transmission variant (As per ARAI certification).
