India launched their first ever SUV Coupe the GLE 450 AMG Coupé for a price of
Rs. 86,40,000 (ex-showroom Mumbai). The GLE 450 AMG Coupe is the first of its
kind of product to be launched in the country by Mercedes. Powered by the world renowned Mercedes-AMG
division the GLE 450 AMG has a 3.0-liter V6 bi-turbo diesel engine which is
capable of producing 367bhp and 520Nm of torque. All that power and torque
converts into a 0-100kmph time of just 5.7 seconds. The car was launched by
Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes Benz India in Mumbai.
The GLE 450
AMG will feature the iconic Mercedes AMG front apron, a single louvre front
grille, contoured power domes, a distinctive under guard and front splitter in
chrome finish. The SUV Coupe will also get 21-inch AMG-5 spoke light alloy
wheels, painted in black and in a high sheen finish along with perforated brake
discs. The GLE 450 AMG also comes with an automatic panoramic sunroof. The interior
has been designed with a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel in black nappa
leather and has a flattened bottom. The SUV Coupe also boasts of sports seats
for driver and front passenger with sports brushed stainless steel sports
pedals. The SUV comes with an infotainment system which has been equipped with
a high-resolution media display thorough an 8 inch display screen.
The GLE 450
AMG Coupe stays true to the AMG badge and will be offered with a 9G-TRONIC auto
box which will aid in fuel efficiency, comfort and versatility of this vehicle.
The Dynamic Select variable control system enables the driver to choose from five
transmission modes of Individual, Comfort, Slippery, Sport and Sport Plus. The
SUV will also come with Active Parking Assist, Adaptive airbags and a Pre-Safe
