Mercedes AMG C63 S has been launched in India for a price of
Rs. 1,30,00,000/- (ex-showroom Delhi) from Mercedes Benz India.
Globally, the C-class AMGs have been the most popular model
from the AMG stable of Mercedes’ performance division. The company sold around 40,000 units
worldwide of the previous C55 AMG. The current C-Class generation has also been
awarded the “World Car of the Year 2015” on which the AMG version is based.
C63 S will be powered by the current generation Bi-Turbo V8 producing 510bhp
and 700Nm of torque from the 4.0litre engine mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT
7-speed sports transmission. The C63 S AMG does a 0-100kmph in just 4 seconds
while being 32% more fuel efficient than the previous generation. This makes
the C63 S the most economical high performance car with a V8 engine.
Along with all the regular gadgets, Mercedes also provides
customers three upholstery trims, four interior finish trim options, three 19”
alloy wheel options and four colour options that include Obsidian Black,
Iridium Silver, Brilliant Blue and Polar White.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz
India commented on the launch, “The C 63 AMG has been a legendary sports car
and with the launch of the new generation AMG C 63 S, the success story of the
Mercedes-AMG brand will be further rooted in India. Be it power, driving
dynamics or appointments, the Mercedes-AMG C 63 S sets a whole new benchmark
and reinforces our brand claim of ‘Driving Performance’, like never before. I
am quite certain that the driving dynamics, agility and sportiness of the AMG C
63 S will thrill our AMG customers. We clearly have a winner with the new AMG C
63 S, off or on the race track.”
