India has launched its new compact sedan - Figo Aspire for a starting price of
Rs. 4,89,990. The Figo Aspire will compete with the likes of the mighty Maruti
Suzuki Dzire and the Honda Amaze. The Figo Aspire is available with three
engine options – a 1.2L Ti-VCT Petrol, a 1.5L TDCi Diesel and a 1.5L Ti-VCT

the safety front the Figo Aspire also comes equipped with Emergency Assistance which
uses SYNC and a Bluetooth-paired phone to automatically call emergency services
in the event of an accident. Another exciting feature on the Figo Aspire is ‘My
Ford Dock’ which offers drivers a unique solution for storing, mounting and
charging mobile phones, MP3 players and satellite navigation systems. For
greater connectivity Ford is also offering the Figo Aspire with AppLink which
enables users to wirelessly connect to the infotainment system of the car.

petrol and the 1.5L diesel are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Ford is
also offering the Figo Aspire with a 1.5L petrol motor which is available with
a 6-speed automatic box. The 1.5L petrol produces 110.5bhp and returns 17.2kms
to a litre. The Figo Aspire is available in 7 colours - Ruby Red, Sparkling
Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke
Harris, president and managing director, Ford India, said “the Figo Aspire
breaks all stereotypes and proves that a compact sedan can also have the best
of everything – be it stunning design, smart technology, advanced safety and
impressive fuel efficiency.” The Figo Aspire will be built in Sanand, Gujarat
at Ford’s newest manufacturing facility. The compact sedan also features driver
and passenger airbags as standard which is an industry first. The car will also
be available with six airbags – including side and curtain airbags.
