Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG S63 Coupe, AMG G63 ‘Crazy Colour’ Edition and the S500 Coupe in India. The company has taken this initiative to address the growing need for exclusivity and customisation in the Indian market. While the AMG S63 Coupe will cost Rs. 2,60,00,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), the AMG G63 ‘Crazy Colour’ Edition will cost Rs. 2,17,00,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the S500 Coupe will cost Rs. 2,00,00,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Mercedes-Benz India set a product strategy of ’15 in 15’ and has launched nine new products this year. The company has never launched three cars in a single day before this and this intense product drive re-affirms the company’s determination to provide Indian customers with the best from their global portfolio. Mercedes Benz has sold 6,659 units in India this year and has recorded a growth of 41pc.
The new Mercedes-Benz AMG S63 Coupe features a 5461cc V8 Petrol engine which produces 585bhp @ 5500rpm and an earth shaking torque of 900Nm @ 2250-3750rpm. The AMG S63 will go from 0-100kmph in 4.2 seconds and has an electronically governed top speed of 250kmph. The S500 4MATIC Coupe has a 4663cc V8 Petrol motor which produces 455hp @ 5250-5500rpm and produces 700Nm of torque @ 1800-3500rpm. The S500 Coupe can go from 0-100 in 4.6 seconds and has a electronically limited top speed of 250kmph. The Massive AMG G63 features a 5461cc V8 Petrol mill which produces 544bhp @ 5500rpm and 760Nm of torque from 2000-5000rpm. This beast will go from 0-100kmph in 5.4 seconds and has a top speed of 210kmph.
Mercedes-Benz India has also launched the ‘designo’ app for the iPad in India. This app will enable a specially trained sales force to create hundreds of different customisations and combinations for customers. Using this app the customers will be able to improve the look of their car and also receive an instant price quote for the model they have designed. Customers can customise the paint finishes, interior appointment and trims on their cars.
