BMW has launched their new X6 xDrive40d for a starting price of Rs. 1,15,00,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The vehicle will be available in dealerships across India in CBU (Completely Built-Up) form.
The new X6 has 2,993cc BMW TwinPower Turbo, inline 6 cylinder, diesel engine which makes 313bhp @ 4400rpm and churns out a massive 630Nm @ 1500-2500rpm. The 3.0L diesel mill propels the car from 0-100kmph in just 5.8 seconds and can attain a top speed of 240kmph. The X6 comes with a Driving Experience Control (standard) which has an ECO PRO mode enabling additional fuel saving. The car also comes with a new eight-speed sport automatic transmission and the driver can also manually control gear changes using paddle shifters.

The new X6 is available in Alpine White (non-metallic paintwork) and in four metallic paintworks -- Carbon Black, Flamenco Red Brilliant Effect, Space Grey and Mineral White. The new X6 combines BMW X qualities and athletic elegance of BMW Coupes. The car has a wide kidney grille and large front air dams with horizontal chrome trims and horizontal lines running along the rear L-shaped taillights. The interiors of the car boast of subtle elegance and sporty appeal. The new X6 has a driver oriented cockpit with innovative control and display elements.
The X6 comes with BMW’s xDrive four-wheel drive system which combines the advantages of all-wheel drive traction, directional stability and safety. The car also features safety technologies like six airbags, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Side-Impact protection, Electronic vehicle immobilizer and crash sensor.
