Mahindra has launched the New Age XUV500 in India for a starting price of Rs. 11.21lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The starting prices remain unchanged from the previous generation.
The XUV will be powered by the same engine and transmission--- 2.2 litre 4 cylinder engine with a 6 speed manual gearbox, as the previous generation. But the engine has been tuned to deliver 330NM of torque and 140bhp from the MHawk DOHC diesel engine. The suspension has been upgraded, and the regenerative braking system from Mahindra’s Micro Hybrid technology is also added to the New Age XUV500. Mahindra has also attached an ESP traction control system from Bosch and with all this technology the XUV500 can now achieve 16kmpl of fuel economy.
The changes on the New Age XUV500 are quite a few. The front grille, the front bumper, the fog lamp assembly, door handles, and the bonnet are all updated with new styling. The rims are updated 10 spoke 17inch alloy wheels and the head lamps are now bending projector lamps.
Some new features in the XUV500 include an electric sunroof, passive keyless entry, push button start and logo projector lamps under the ORVM. Other features include 6 airbags, reverse camera, 7 inch infotainment screen with Blue Sense App, black and beige dual tone interiors, with icy blue mood lighting.
Mahindra has launched a new variant of the XUV500 called the W10 which will feature everything mentioned above. Detailed variant wise pricing is given below.
