unveiled the “Ultra-Sporty” new Civic Concept in New York. The new concept
shows how the upcoming 10th generation of the Civic will look like.
The Civic will be available as a Sedan, Coupe and Si models along with the much
loved Civic hatchback and the highly coveted Type-R hot hatch.
The Civic in
the American market will come for the first time with Honda’s new 1.5 litre VTEC
turbo engines from their Earth Dreams Technology division with a choice of a
6-speed manual transmission or a more sporty continuously variable transmission
(CVT). Exact engine specifications haven’t been released yet.

The new Civic
will also get levels of safety performance and will offer the Honda Sensing

Adaptive Cruise Control and Honda Lane Watch, along with Honda’s
next-generation Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body structure.
