Following the Murcielago, Lamborghini gave us the Aventador. Following the Murcielago Superveloce we now have the Aventador Superveloce from the lunatics at Lamborghini.
Where the old Murcielago only had to make do with 660bhp, the new Aventador SV has a naturally aspirated V12 that produces 750bhp and is 50kg lighter than standard which makes the new Aventador SV go from 0-100kmph in 2.8 seconds and on to 350kmph thanks to a 7-speed dual dry clutch gearbox. That makes it the fastest production Lamborghini…EVER!
Lamborghini has gone to great lengths in reducing weight where ever they can with no compromise on delivering any of the Lambo excitement. The Aventador SV has a power to weight ratio of 2.03 kg/bhp thanks to the use of carbon fibre materials to bring down the weight by 50kgs from the standard Aventador and now only weights 1,525kgs.
For handling Lamborghini has fitted it with something called Magneto Rhelogical Suspension. We have no idea what that is… But the new SV also comes fitted with Lamborghini Dynamic Steering specially tuned for the Superveloce, 20 (front) and 21 (rear) inch light weight forged rims wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres and optionally equipped with central locking mounts while ventilated carbon ceramic disc brakes come as standard fitment, thank goodness for that.
As the name suggests the LP 750-4, where the 750 determines the power and the 4 confirms that the SV will have a Haldex Generation IV electronic four wheel drive system and self locking electronic differentials at the front and back controlled by the traction control. The driver will also have the luxury to leave skid marks on the road as well as in his trousers at 2 different levels of driving modes - Strada (road) and Corsa (Racetrack) while also having full reign of individually setting up the engine, transmission, differential, dampers and steering to his/her own liking.
The Aventador LP 750-4 SV will be available to order soon we presume. How much will they cost? Well Let’s say north of what normal mortals can afford.
