Mercedes-Benz India has launched the S 580 e. It is Mercedes-Benz’s first-ever plug in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in the Mercedes-Maybach range in India. Only 30 units of the Mercedes-Maybach S580e will be available at launch. The Mercedes-Maybach S580e 4Matic is priced at INR 3.35 crore.
The Mercedes-Maybach S580e is powered by a 3.0L petrol PHEV with 4MATIC, producing a peak 585 hp (+80 hp) and 750 Nm (+50 Nm). It has Burmester 4D, 31 speakers, 8 exciters and 1,610 watts system output.
The vehicle comes PRE-SAFE with 15 airbags and has an MB.Drive Assist ADAS Level 2. It gets Executive seats, full-length business console, wireless charging, folding tables, Rear Comfort Package Plus, Energizing Package with Calf massage and Automatic Comfort Doors.
The vehicle has a MB.OS, MBUX Superscreen front-passenger display with privacy function and 3D driver display, besides augmented reality, head-up display and navigation. It has cloud based Intelligent damping AIRMATIC and rear-axle steering.
It boasts of a 100 km all-electric range with charging at up to 11 kW AC and up to 60 kW DC. •The WLTP certified weighted combined fuel efficiency is 34.48 kmpl. It also gets Manufaktur Exclusive two-tone and exclusive nappa leather finishes.
