The technology package enhances the new Mercedes-Benz G 450d with a more comprehensive suite of ADAS functions. Inspired by the G-Class, Mercedes-Benz India will soon kick-start an exciting ‘Mercedes-Benz G-Tribe Escapade’ with exciting drives scheduled from India to Thimphu, Punakha and Paro for select customers.
In its first allocation, only 50 exclusive units of the G 450 d will be made available to select customers in India.
The off-road vehicle icon continues to rely on proven ladder-frame construction, three mechanical differential locks and the combination of double wishbone independent front wheel suspension and a rigid rear axle. High ground clearance and long-travel suspension form the basis for the off-road characteristics.
The remarkable values underscoring the off-roading character of the G450d are as following:
- Up to 100% gradeability on suitable surfaces
-Ground clearance between the axles of at least 241 mm
- Maximum fording depth of 70 cm for water and mud
-Stable driving on sideward slopes of up to 35°
- Approach and departure angles of 31° at the front and 30° at the rear (without trailer hitch)
-Breakover angle of 26°
Distinctive design elements include a new bumper with four vertical louvers integrated into the air inlets. The refreshed front bumper design, along with new A-pillar cladding and a roof-edge spoiler lip, enhances aerodynamics and acoustic comfort. The new G-Class evolves with the times - yet remains unmistakably true to its iconic character.
Inside, the redesigned off-road cockpit and the advanced MBUX infotainment system with augmented reality navigation ensure a technologically advanced and luxurious driving experience, making the G 450d a perfect blend of tradition and innovation.
