German car maker Volkswagen has launched the limited edition Vento Konekt. The car comes loaded with the latest in digital entertainment and connectivity. This would be available on Comfortline and Highline variants of the Vento. The Konekt package includes a Blaupunkt infotainment system, with GPS navigation and hands-free, Bluetooth-enabled telephony. Integrated into the centre console at the front, this high-end system features a high-resolution 7-inch TFT touchscreen colour display, the latest Igo-Navtech maps for navigation, USB connectivity and iPhone/iPod compatibility.
The Konekt package also comes with a rear-seat entertainment system, which features an Android-powered Bluetooth-enabled 8-inch Blaupunkt tablet with 3G-compatibility, twin-SIM functionality and Wi-Fi capability. These HD colour display tablets lets rear seat occupants enjoy 16 channels of live television, Internet radio, weather updates, live stock market feeds and more. It also allows users to access social media apps like Facebook and Twitter, use Google Maps for navigation, make video calls with a 3G data connection and even find the nearest Volkswagen dealer/service centre.
There is more in the form of leatherette seat covers and Konekt badging on the boot and on the scuff plates.
