a fortnight after its launch, Toyota Kirloskar Motors has halted the bookings
of its SUV, the Toyota Hilux because of various factors impacting its supply.
Kirloskar Motor launched the iconic Hilux in the Indian market recently and had
opened the bookings of the vehicle. The ex-showroom prices were to be announced
in March 2022 before start the deliveries in April 2022.
iconic Hilux has been recently launched in the Indian market to cater to the
needs of customers seeking an incredible lifestyle utility vehicle. We are
delighted with the overwhelming response that the Hilux has received from our
customers within a fortnight of its launch. We are grateful to our valued
customers for their continued trust and confidence in our brand and our
enhanced offerings in this whole new product segment. However, in light of various factors impacting
our supply, we are unable to meet the heightened demand. Thus, we deeply regret
our temporary halt of bookings for the Hilux with a view to avoid any further
inconvenience to our customers. We will continue our best efforts to
resume the Hilux bookings at the soonest possible opportunity, with our aim to
provide the best customer experience,” a Toyota Kirloskar press release added.
Toyota Hilux will be powered by the 2.8 L four cylinder turbo-diesel engine and
will be available in an option of 6-Speed Automatic or 6-Speed Manual
Transmission. The Automatic Transmission
(AT) variant generates 204 hp and a peak torque output of 500 Nm while the
Manual Transmission (MT) variants generate 204 hp and 420 Nm. All variants come
with a 4X4 drivetrain enabling customers to engage in smooth off-roading
lifestyle vehicle renowned for its ruggedness sports a bold look with a
muscular bonnet line & piano black trapezoidal grille with thick chrome
frame thereby lending a sophisticated feel. Further, it comes with striking
18-inches alloy wheels with super chrome finish.

(HAC), Downhill Assist Control (DAC) and Automatic Limited Slip Differential
