Volvo Auto India has launched the XC60 R-Design in India with a price tag of Rs 51 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The company had in the beginning of August 2014 launched the S60 R-Design at Rs 40.10 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi).
The new XC60 & S60 R-Designs are powered by Volvo’s 2.0L Drive-E engine which churns out power of 181bhp. The engine is mated to a new 8-speed gearbox.
The R-design option pack was launched in the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. The car comes with heavy cosmetic changes as well as additional equipment.
The front bumper has been re-designed to look sportier with a low set honeycomb air dam. The front grill has a distinct R-Design badge on it. The new XC60 & S60 R-Designs come with 18 inch-diamond cut-five spoke alloys while the ORVMs get a silver finish. The new paint option available exclusively with the R-Design is a Passion Red colour. The rear of the XC60 R-Design has chrome finishing on the exhaust tips.
The interiors have been enhanced with a new audio and satellite-navigation system, a rear view camera and paddle shift controls on the steering.
