Mercedes-Benz has launched its first ever 'Made In India' BS VI complaint Long Wheelbase E-Class luxury business sedan for a starting price of Rs. 57.50 lakh. The new RHD version LWB E-Class comes in both petrol and diesel engine options. E-Class is available in E 200 & E 220 d in two new variants: Expression and Exclusive. The car was launched in the presence of Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India. Prices are given below:

The petrol variant of the LWB E-class - E200 (M264) features a 1,991cc engine that produces 197hp and a torque of 320Nm. It accelerates from 0-100kmph in 8 seconds. The diesel variant - E220d (OM654) comes with a 1,950 cc, in-line 4 cylinder engine that churns out 194hp and 400Nm of torque. The sedan can accelerate from 0 -100kmph in 7.3 seconds.
The interior of the new long wheelbase E-Class is equipped with features like intuitive rear touchpad, Burmester high-end surround sound system, widescreen digital cockpit that comes with a 12.3 inch instrument display and a rear wireless charger. Safety features include ESP Curve Dynamic Assist, full LED Headlamps, pre-safe, Parking Pilot with Active Parking Assist Parktronic and reversing camera, Adaptive brake lights, Dual front airbags, Front side airbags, Curtain airbags, knee bag for driver (7 overall).
